About

Our History

The Koeller family settled in Madison County in 1873 on some of the same farm land operated by Koeller Bros. Inc. today.  The family’s ancestry traces back to Germany. After immigrating to America, the Koeller Family made their way to Godfrey Illinois.

Our Progression

Over the years our family has always strived to progress in the industry. Our family started by farming asparagus in Godfrey Illinois, which at one time was the asparagus capital of the world. From there our family had grown into raising cattle and began to grow corn and wheat. As times progressed our family began growing soybeans for rotational purposes to aid in the growth of alfalfa. Soybeans began to be seen as a commercially traded crop and we began to grow them additionally with our other grains for harvesting.

Where We are Today

Today we are still located on the original farm in Godfrey have expanded and now operate an additional farm located in Greenfield, Illinois. We currently grow corn, soybeans, and wheat. Along with our own full crop production we also offer custom farming practices and are always looking towards farm land leasing to expand our operation. We are also looking for new and efficient practices for our operation and are very excited as to what technology has in store for the farming industry, both in equipment and with the future advancements in crop science.

Community

Our family has a long standing history of serving with Farm Bureau both on our county level and the state level. This is very important to us and part of our core values due to the direct affect this has on our families and our local communities. The youngest generation of brothers currently both serve on the Madison County Young Farmers. This group takes part in running the pedal pulls for young kids at the county and state fair. The same group also presents at a local high school to the drivers education students about safely sharing the road with farm equipment.
